Meridiana Wine Estate, Ta' Qali, Malta.Meridiana Wine Estate, was established as a company in 1987, with the aim to produce "World Class Wines of Maltese Character", that is, wines made from grape varieties grown exclusively in Maltese soil.In 1989, after successful experimentation with different grape varieties and selected rootstocks, a 19 hectare site was acquired at Ta' Qali and a partnership with Marchese' Piero Antinori was secured.
