Dinner at Commando Restaurant, Mellieha, Friday, 25th April, 2014.
Although the Commando Bar and Coffee shop has been in existence since World War II, the fully refurbished and totally modernised, Commando Restaurant was opened by Chef-Padron Damian Ciappara, some sixteen months ago as a gourmet establishment offering a select, short menu utilising the freshest ingredients in season. In the short time that this venue has been in operation, Damian and his team have succeeded to establish it as a destination restaurant, to which discerning diners would travel for miles without regret, to sample the day's offerings , and which is offering real competition to longer established, up-market restaurant s in this location.
